D.R. Callentine is a proud husband and father of 3. He has been involved with youth ministry for almost 20 years through his church youth groups and other youth organizations such as the Christian Youth Center in Joliet and in Big Rock. D.R. has been involved in sports his entire life, competing in football through the college level where he played at Northwestern University, receiving academic All Big Ten honors earning a degree in Electrical Engineering. He continues to be involved in sports through coaching his 2 sons in the Plainfield Junior Cats football program and his daughter in softball and other sports. Through it all, D.R. strives to honor Christ in his life and in his family. He believes football is the ultimate sport to help bring Christ, family, kids, and sports together in a way that honors God.
