Great Commission:
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20
Three Purposes from the Great Commission:
1. Reach (evangelism): “Make disciples” Evangelism is sharing the message of Jesus Christ with those who do not know Him. Crossroads exists to reach out to these people and the community through evangelism. 2. Build (discipleship): Baptizing them Discipleship is the building up of believers as they seek to become more like Christ. Crossroads= purpose is to emphasize the importance of the Word of God above all else, and to encourage spiritual growth as we honor Christ with our daily lives. 3. Equip (ministry): Teaching them to obey Ministry involves using our gifts to serve the Lord and others. Crossroads teaches ministry in order to equip our youth with the life skills needed to serve God and make disciples.
