Q: Where will practices be held?
A: Practices will be at the Aurora Christian HS soccer fields located on the north side of I-88.  Exit I-88 @ Orchard Rd. going North.  Take a left at Orchard Gateway Blvd.  Continue all the way down.  Soccer fields are on the left just before Harvest Bible Chapel.  Click here for a map.

Q: How much will it cost?
A: Cost will be $200 plus participation in a fundraising event.  An additional fee of $150 can be payed in place of the fundraiser.  Each player will additionally need to provide his own cleats, mouthpiece, and jock with cup.  Transportation will not be provided.  Financial hardship assistance is available based on need.

Q: When does the season start?
A: Fall camp will start either July 29th or August 5th.  The season starts August 24th.  W have 5 games scheduled so far with our final contest set for October 26th against the SWCHA Saints in Milwaukee.  Games are played on Fridays, Saturdays, and occassionally on Mondays.

Q: Where will the games be?
A: The games will be in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.  We will be traveling for all games and currently have games scheduled in the Chicago area, Lansing MI, Milwaukee WI, and E. Kentland IN.

Q: Do you provide insurance?
A: Crossroads Crusaders will only be able to provide liability insurance for the organization.  Accident insurance cannot be provided by our organization and must be provided for each player by the player's family (proof of insurance will be required).  Please contact us if you would like information on how you can purchase additional accident insurance.

Q: Will my child need a physical?
A: Yes.  Each player will need a recent physical performed by a medical doctor (M.D. or D.O.) or nurse practicioner.  A chiropractor cannot perform this physical.  Click here for the form that must be completed and submitted for participation.  Please contact us if you need help locating a physician to perform this phycial.

Q: How often will you practice?
A: We will have 4 different practices, off season, spring practice, fall camp, and in season.  Off season workouts will be done individually by the player on a daily basis, with a lifting group at various times and locations throughout the week, and every 2 weeks as a team at various locations (typcially Crossroads in Big Rock).  Spring practice will be for 1 week, every day in the evenings ending in a Saturday morning practice.  Fall camp will be a morning workout done individually by the players and an evening team workout, every day, Mon – Sat, for 2 weeks.  In season practices will be evenings, typically Mon, Tues, and Thurs, for the length of the season (practice may be shifted depending on game times).

Q: What ages can play?
A: Boys and girls in high school, grade 9 through 12, are eligible.

Q: Who is eligible?
A: Any home schooled high school student is eligible to play football for Crossroads Christian Academy as long as they also have a minimum 2.0 GPA, are no older than 18 on Sept. 1st of that year, and are limited to a maximum of 4 years of participation.

Q: What does Crossroads require to play?
A: The following items are needed by Crossroads before equipment will be issued:

  1. Minimum 2.0 GPA & full course load*
  2. Proof of passing physical within 6 months
  3. Officially registered (click here to register online)
  4. Proof of immunizations or religious waiver
  5. Signed concussion information sheet (click here for IHSA form)
  6. Crusaders medical release form
  7. Crusaders waiver form
  8. Copy of medical insurance card
  9. Full payment (click here to pay online)
